There are reports for people who practice oral sex the presence of the parasite in the lower respiratory tract, leading to cases of pneumonia.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"p1\">Symptoms<\/h3>\n<p class=\"p1\">Approximately 58% of patients have no symptoms, so the population of reproductive and sexually active age should undergo a routine medical check-up.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\">\n<h4>Women<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\">Pain and irritation when urinating, itching, pain in the lower abdomen, infertility, vaginitis.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\">\n<h4>Men<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\">Urethral discharge (involuntary release of secretions from the penis), painful urination, inflammation of the urethra, and infertility.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"p1\">Detection<\/h3>\n<p class=\"p1\">Bioclinic Laboratories performs the PCR test in urine for the detection of Trichomonas vaginalis.
